How much time do you spend each day consuming user-generated content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat? Isn’t it time you turned that habit into a career?

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our team. Real Estate Marketing University is a social media advertising training company specializing in real estate. You do not need to know real estate in order to satisfy the expectations and responsibilities for this position; but you do need to be able to learn what we do and how we do it.

We have an extremely talented group of writers, developers, trainers, ad specialists, media specialists and more. We are constantly creating new training videos and packaging them for current and future students. We are also constantly trying to grow our fan base and enrollment figures.

This is where you come in.

Your job is to write, promote, and manage original social content that creates engagement across multiple platforms on a day-to-day basis. This includes converting original content as appropriate for each platform according to an editorial calendar you are responsible for. You will plan the topics. You will come up with new social media strategies. You will be an early adopter. You will become an expert in the best practices of each platform. For example:

  1. What’s the ideal length of a video on Facebook to get people to watch it to the end?
  2. What is the best day and time to post on Instagram to get the most engagement?

We know the answers and we will share with you what we know. However, we expect you to proactively keep up with best practices and trends for each platform as they are continuously evolving over time.

You will also understand how to measure the performance of our content through reporting and analysis. Again, we will teach you what we know; but it will be up to you to take over the reins.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

  • be a highly-organized, self-starter, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • have a desire to stay ahead of the curve in social media platforms and know what is on trend.
  • know how to capture customer insights and interests to develop targeted content.
  • develop an outreach program that includes book reviews, podcast guests, and opportunities for collaboration.
  • identify loyalists, detractors, advocates and influencers.

Bonus points if you:

  • have experience with some of the following platforms: Slack, Asana, Vimeo, WordPress, and Sprout Social
